From Waste Battery Separator Films to High-Performance Fabrics and Fashion – Right Route

“As battery separator films are widely used in electronic devices, demand continues to grow—and so does the amount being discarded. To prevent environmental pollution, we’re developing high-performance materials through recycling,” said Shin Min-jung, CEO of Light Route, an eco-friendly social enterprise based at the KOCCA CKL Startup Center.

Light Route is working on creating high-performance fabrics by repurposing discarded battery separators and is currently preparing a dedicated brand to bring these sustainable materials into fashion.
