“Using EV battery separator films as fabric…‘Environmental issues must be recognized in daily life’”

In the South Korean stock market, shares of secondary battery (EV battery) manufacturers surged starting in early November last year. As Democratic candidate Joe Biden's victory in the U.S. presidential election became more likely, these companies were spotlighted as "beneficiaries" and enjoyed a strong rally. Biden had pledged to invest $2 trillion into clean energy industries and achieve “carbon neutrality” by 2050. In fact, the first thing he announced after effectively winning the election was his intention to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement. Around the same time, the Korean government also unveiled its own “2050 Carbon Neutrality Strategy,” further brightening the market outlook for battery-related materials, components, and equipment.

This highlights how essential the battery industry is in achieving the goal of a carbon-neutral society.
